Carpenter - Disaster Restoration


Job Details

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join a disaster restoration team. The Carpenter will play a vital role in restoring properties damaged by fire, water, storms, or other disasters. Working closely with a restoration crew, the Carpenter will be responsible for assessing damage, planning and executing repairs, and ensuring that properties are restored to their pre-loss condition with precision and attention to detail. Salary based on experience.

Responsibilities:
Assess damage to structures and develop repair plans in collaboration with restoration team and project managers.
Perform a variety of carpentry tasks including framing, drywall installation, trim work, cabinetry installation, flooring replacement, and other repairs as needed.
Utilize appropriate tools and equipment safely and efficiently to complete restoration projects on time and within budget.
Coordinate with subcontractors and other tradespeople as necessary to complete restoration projects.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times to maintain a safe work environment.
Communicate effectively with team members, project managers, and clients to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project.
Assist with general cleanup and debris removal as needed to ensure job sites are clean and organized.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
Prior experience in a restoration environment a plus
Certification or training in carpentry or related field is a plus.

High School

1-4 years

Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Carpenter in a construction environment
Comprehensive knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physical stamina and the ability to perform strenuous tasks in various weather conditions.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Must have a valid driver's license, clean MVR and reliable transportation.
Certification or training in carpentry
