POSITION PROFILE:
The Housekeeping Aide works closely with the Housekeepers to ensure the timely turnaround of all guest rooms and public areas. They assist the Housekeepers with specific assigned duties to provide the cleanest spaces in an efficient and organized manner. They strive to model the Pursell core values in the completion of their work
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:
* Remove soiled linen, terry and trash from guest rooms and provide support to the guest room attendants as directed by leadership
* Assist in maintaining the exteriors of lodging accommodations throughout the property and common areas
* Serve both guest and staff requests for amenities and supplies
* Set up and break down rollaway beds, cribs and other requested amenities in guest rooms
* Process linens using commercial washers, dryers and pressing machines
* Assist in weekly housekeeping supply inventory
* Receive and distribute supplies throughout the property
* Maintain storage areas throughout the property and stock supplies as needed
* Perform all other duties as assigned
DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
* High school graduate or equivalent GED preferred
* Prior experience working in a hotel or resort setting preferred
Skills and Abilities:
* Excellent guest services skills
* Ability to read and understand written instructions
* Ability to take and follow verbal direction
* Ability to work cooperatively with other team members
* Ability to be discreet and maintain confidentiality when entering guest rooms
* Ability to maintain a clean and neat appearance at all times
