Receptionist
Classification: Part-Time, Staff Member, 42-Week
Supervisor: Executive Assistant to the President
Supervises: None
Serves as receptionist for the College, operates the main incoming phone line, and assists other offices as necessary.
Responsibilities
* Prepare office for guests in the morning: lights and doors.
* Answer and direct telephone calls: 8:00 AM-12:00 Noon
* Greet and serve guests.
* Assist President's Office, Registrar, Director of Admissions and Financial Aid, Cashier's
Office, and other offices as necessary (in this order).
* Receive incoming packages.
* Aid in intercom and radio communication.
Qualifications
* Knowledge of or capability to learn workings of telephone system and other basic office
equipment, such as two-way radios
* Computer skills
* Good relational skills
* Ability to remain calm under pressure
* Neat appearance
* General knowledge of GBSC history and current happenings
* Understanding and willingness to follow confidentially practices
* Willingness to follow the employee handbook guidelines
