We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior AWS CloudOps/DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure on AWS, utilizing Bitbucket for version control, and monitoring performance with Application Performance Management (APM) tools, preferably New Relic. This role involves ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our cloud-based systems, driving continuous improvement, and supporting the development and deployment processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Operations:


    • Design, deploy, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS.


  • Implement and maintain cloud-native services such as ECS (Fargate), S3, RDS, Lambda, and others.


    • Monitor system performance, ensure high availability, and perform regular backups and disaster recovery exercises.


  • DevOps:


    • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket and other related tools.


  • Collaborate with development teams to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.


    • Ensure infrastructure as code using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.


  • Optimize the development workflow and improve deployment frequency and reliability.


  • SecOps:


    • Implement and enforce security best practices across all cloud environments.


    • Perform regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.


    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.


    • Respond to security incidents and conduct root cause analysis.


  • Application Performance Management:


    • Utilize APM tools, preferably New Relic, to monitor application performance and availability.


    • Set up alerts and dashboards to track key performance metrics.


    • Analyze performance data and implement improvements to enhance user experience and system efficiency.


  • Collaboration & Leadership:


    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and product management.


    • Lead and participate in incident response and root cause analysis efforts.


Qualifications:

  • Experience:


    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Cloud Operations, DevOps, and SecOps roles.


    • Extensive experience with AWS services and infrastructure.


    • Proficiency in using Bitbucket for version control and CI/CD pipeline management.


    • Hands-on experience with APM tools, especially New Relic.


  • Technical Skills:


    • Strong knowledge of scripting and programming languages such as Python, or Bash.


    • Experience with infrastructure as code tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.


    • Deep understanding of cloud security principles and practices.


    • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.


  • Soft Skills:


    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.


    • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.


    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


    • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.


  • Education:


    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).


Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Security Specialty certification.


  • Experience with other APM tools and monitoring solutions.


  • Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies.


  • Familiarity with additional version control and CI/CD tools.
