Responsibilities

  • This position is responsible for coordinating the daily shipping and receiving activities, this will include inventory, working closely with management, vendors, and the warehouse supervisor.
  • Reports to Warehouse Supervisor and coordinates day-to-day shipping/receiving activities.
  • Verify load sheets and ensure trucks receive correct equipment and product loads.
  • Organize files and maintain records of product received or shipped.
  • Report and document return equipment.
  • Work closely with Carriers / Customer pick-ups to minimize late pick-up orders.
  • Works closely with other inter-office personnel.
  • Coordinate with Inventory team to ensure product is available to meet customer demand.
  • Ensure that all tasks are being done within regular, budgeted work hours.
  • Inventory management
  • Inventory reconciliation / cycle counts
  • Warehouse organization / management
  • Morning route reloads and internal order verification
  • Versatile in other departments in the plant

Qualifications

  • Experience in shipping and receiving clerk capacity.
  • Candidate must possess strong ability to perform mathematical functions of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division without.
  • In-depth knowledge or processing shipments by means of database.
  • The ability to multi-tasks to answer phones, check-in / out drivers, and order follow ups.
  • Proven record of excellent customer service.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work flexible, extended hours and weekends as required.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and Oracle database system.
  • HS diploma desired, not required
