We are seeking a talented and dynamic Permanent Applications Developer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the fast-paced Engineering industry, where you will play a vital role in managing and developing our company's systems and applications. You will be part of a team that values innovation, creativity, and collaboration. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and productivity of our operations. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a passion for technology.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and implement applications that support day-to-day operations.
2. Provide innovative solutions to complex business problems by leveraging technology.
3. Manage and maintain our ERP Systems, specifically Infor XA and SAP.
4. Analyze and interpret complex data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for the business.
5. Develop and maintain SQL databases and create visualizations using Microsoft Power BI.
6. Collaborate with vendors to ensure seamless integration of new systems and applications.
7. Provide IT support to the team, troubleshooting issues and ensuring systems are running optimally.
8. Develop and implement RPG systems to streamline operations.
9. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, translating technical jargon into layman's terms.
10. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in technology to ensure our systems remain current.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in IT, specifically in application development.
3. Proficiency in ERP Systems, particularly Infor XA and SAP.
4. Solid experience as a data analyst, with a strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
5. Expertise in Microsoft Power BI and Python, with certification in both being highly desirable.
6. SQL certified with a strong understanding of SQL programming.
7. Previous experience as a Systems Administrator.
8. Experience working with vendors and managing relationships.
9. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
10. Knowledge and experience in developing and implementing RPG Systems.
11. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to think critically.
12. A team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
