Job Title: Mail and Distribution Specialist

Pay: $18.00-$20.00/hour | Pending Experience

Duration: Contract to Hire | Training Provided

Schedule: Monday Friday // 40hrs/week

Location: 100% ONSITE | PHOENIX, AZ



Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for scanning 1500 documents and sending out 3000 mailers daily.
  • Prepare, assemble, and package prospective, new, or renewing member materials for mailing or distribution to customers.
  • Process all data/orders accurately and completely within departmental quality guidelines and production standards.
  • Use PC string numbers/material codes to properly identify documents to be packaged.
  • Monitor and maintain established inventory levels.
  • Maintain working knowledge of required inventory products for uninterrupted production.
  • Sort, weigh, and meter outgoing mail and parcels.
  • Collect and distribute department and corporate mail and parcels.
  • Prepare outgoing mail for collection by pre-sort vendors and/or courier service.
  • Operate UPS outbound software.
  • Operate Mail Collating equipment and Mail Metering equipment.
  • Maintain equipment in a clean, functional, and orderly manner. Review equipment maintenance schedules to ensure equipment is properly serviced and operational.
  • Maintain accurate reporting, logs, and records on fulfillment and distribution functions and cost centers, in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to departmental operating procedures, safety and security procedures, and quality guidelines.
  • Demonstrate and maintain current working knowledge of the required systems, procedures, forms, and manuals.


Required Skills:

  • 1-3 years of experience in print and/or fulfillment operations.
  • 1-3 years of experience using Excel.
  • 3 years of experience in operating automated insertion equipment preferred.
  • Intermediate skill in the use of office equipment, including copiers and telephones.
  • Experienced with Mail Merge.
  • Basic knowledge of personal computers and publishing software.
  • Basic math skills sufficient to perform tasks related to packaging/mailing and inventory control.
  • Intermediate mechanical skills sufficient to maintain and troubleshoot departmental equipment.
  • Able to frequently lift items weighing 25lbs or more and move objects weighing 150 lbs or more using appropriate tools or equipment.
  • Able to work in a high noise environment.
  • Able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and practices.
  • Display appropriate manual dexterity for assigned tasks.
  • Ability to use equipment such as floor jacks to move inventory and equipment.


Required Education:

  • High-School Diploma or GED in a general field of study.
  • Associate degree preferred.


Required Licenses:

  • Valid Arizona driver s license with an acceptable driving record, or ability to obtain an Arizona driver s license within 30 days of hire.
