summary Seeking motivated and proactive individual who can contribute to the Warehouse's success. This position requires experience reading tape measurer, power-industrial tools, and hand-tools.Associate is expected to be reliable, flexible, and familiar in warehouse safety and quality standards. Start time is 2pm-10:30pm 8 hour days. Mon-Fri. Sometimes OT is mandated. Training on 1st shift start time of 7am. Mon-Fri. Sometimes OT is mandated. PPE: safety vest and steel toe or safety shoe. Dress code: warehouse casual Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Promotes and adheres to good safety and housekeeping habits as outlined in SB Specialty Metals LLC's Safety Policy. 2. Fills orders for shipment using warehouse work order to identify items to be shipped. 3. Operates Band Saw to cut warehouse materials to dimensional specifications. Selects material for optimum yield from stock to be cut, may move stock from storage, and loads saws for maximum productivity, minimizing waste. 4. Weighs and records each item completed for shipment or inventory. 5. Identifies material shipped by marking pertinent information on the material. 6. Bundles and packs shipments by strapping, wrapping, boxing, etc. 7. Uses calipers, rulers, tapes, scales etc., checks shipments for correct size, length, etc. 8. SAW Station -Provides tool to let sales know of status of cut. Heat verification of material is made prior to processing order. Documents progress of order after order is received in the warehouse. Documents assigned saw, start of cut time and end of cut time. required-skills: Need to know how to read tape measuring experience and prepared to take a test Ability to lift to 50 lbs Common hand tool usage Ensure the quality of the finished product is defect free from cavities, scratches and cut/dimensional errors Ability to work independently and effectively in a team setting or individually required-experience: Manufacturing experience
