      The role of a patient service representative (PSR) involves a range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring smooth operations and positive patient experiences within a healthcare setting.

      • Greeting Patients: The PSR sets the tone for patient interactions by welcoming them in a friendly and courteous manner. This initial contact helps establish a positive rapport and puts patients at ease.
      • Answering Telephones: Managing incoming calls is crucial for effective communication within the healthcare facility. The PSR handles inquiries from patients, caregivers, and other stakeholders promptly and professionally.
      • Scheduling Appointments: Efficient appointment scheduling is essential for optimizing patient flow and minimizing wait times. The PSR manages appointment bookings, ensuring proper allocation of resources and timely access to healthcare services.
      • General Office Duties: Beyond patient-facing tasks, the PSR may be responsible for various administrative duties such as filing paperwork, maintaining records, and assisting with office organization. Flexibility and multitasking skills are valuable in this aspect of the role.
      • Patient Data Management: Accuracy and confidentiality are paramount when handling patient information. The PSR collects, verifies, enters, and monitors patient data while adhering to federal, state, and organizational confidentiality policies.
      • Championing Customer Service and Problem Resolution: In addition to routine responsibilities, the PSR is essential in upholding Trellis Health's commitment to exceptional customer service.   • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
    • License/Certifications: N/A
    • Experience: Previous office experience with medical office experience helpful.
    • Knowledge and skills in using office equipment.
    • Must be caring and empathetic and empathetic and have great listening skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly in person and on the phone.
    • Strong computer skills.
    • Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.
