Warehouse Team Lead

The basic function of the Warehouse Team Lead is to assist in a prompt, courteous manner and support needs. Stage, load, and unload products received into warehouse and ready to be shipped out. Stock and maintain warehouse inventory. This position is also responsible for loading & shipping merchandise scheduled.

Duties may include:

  • Providing leadership and direction to a team of warehouse staff;
  • Developing, implementing and ensuring staff adherence to processes that are aligned with Company policies and procedures, as well as security requirements;
  • Manage all product in the warehouse ensuring maximum levels of productivity, flows, and cost efficiencies
  • Develop and improve the existing state wide system for the storage, processing and collection of donated product
  • Manage the sorting process ensuring quality, productivity and cost efficiencies are all maintained at the desired levels
  • Assisting in the sourcing and deployment of a warehouse management system, and ensuring the alignment of physical and logical inventory (stock accuracy) through proven and robust inventory control processes;
  • Participating in a hands-on manner in the warehouse when required (Receiving and dispatching goods, loading and unloading trucks, managing stock, disposing of waste from the production areas).
  • Ensure all OSHA requirements are met throughout the Warehouse
  • Review warehouse layout and design including racking and traffic management, resource control including staff and equipment, quality assurance & OSHA compliance
  • Introduce systems that provide visibility and traceability of product e.g. protect it from reaching its best before date (if food), identify its receipt date and reason for storage (if stored).
  • Ensure procedures implemented are transferrable across Warehouse, with minimal or no changes e.g. categorization of products, inventory counts, receipt date identification (if stored), etc.
Skills/Experience
  • Understanding of warehouse methodologies and technology.
  • Knowledge of logistic processes (warehouse, transport, order processing, etc).
  • Some system analysis, testing and implementation experience.
  • Dealing with passengers and staff from diverse backgrounds and circumstances.
  • Understanding of office systems such as, Order Management and Microsoft (Word, Excel, etc).
  • Strong knowledge of Company and underlying principles in the way it works.
  • Time management skills, ability to set priorities and work within time frames.
  • Ability to work independently and as directed.
  • Language Skills: English and Spanish

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 Per Year
