Maintenance Technician – 1st shift

The Maintenance Technician installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains production machinery and equipment to support the achievement of the company's business goals and objectives. Maintenance responsibilities will involve electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, CNC, PLC, and other plant systems. This is a 1st shift position, working Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays as needed, and an on-call rotation every 2 months.


Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain production and facility equipment, as well as security and safety systems.
  • Install and maintain electrical equipment (transformers, wiring, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot and repair CNC and PLC control systems.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and test and make adjustments to machinery as needed.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, precision instruments, and other equipment required to complete daily tasks.
  • Read and interpret specifications, blueprints, manuals, etc. for various machinery, equipment, and processes.
  • Layout, assemble, install, and maintain plant piping systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Repair or replace gauges, valves, regulators, or related equipment as required.
  • Work cross-functionally with management and other departments to solve problems in the plant and implement safety initiatives.
  • Maintain knowledge of and adhere to safety regulations.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation for maintenance activities and file reports as necessary.
  • Other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of related Maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, performing both electrical and mechanical maintenance functions.
  • Experience with CNC and PLC troubleshooting (programming background is a plus).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, etc. for various machinery, equipment, and processes.
  • High School diploma or equivalent (vocational/technical training or college degree is a plus).
  • Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship, now and in the future.
