Electrical Engineer Technician


Job Details

Our client focuses on designing and delivering solutions for manufacturers and operators, ensuring quality and safety while enhancing efficiency and satisfaction. They are looking for an Electrical Engineering Technician who will work closely with the engineering team to support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems and components. This is an onsite position based in Fairfield County, CT.


Electrical Engineering Technicians Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assisting engineers in the design and development of electrical systems, including drafting schematics, layouts, and wiring diagrams using CAD software.
  • Building and assembling prototypes and test setups according to engineering specifications.
  • Conducting tests and experiments to evaluate the performance and reliability of electrical components and systems.
  • Troubleshooting electrical systems and diagnosing technical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.


Electrical Engineering Technicians Qualifications and Skills

  • Associate degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience working as an electrical engineering technician or in a similar technical role.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical) for schematic design and layout.
  • Ability to solder SMT components to printed circuit boards.
