We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to join our team. The Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing the service department, ensuring that all roofing service, maintenance and warranty projects are completed efficiently, on time, and to the highest standards of quality. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the roofing industry.

Responsibilities:

  1. Team Management:
    • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of service technicians and support staff.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities.
    • Assign repair, maintenance and warranty jobs to the service team each week.
    • Ensure that all team members are trained and up-to-date on the latest roofing techniques and safety protocols.
  2. Client Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and service requests.
    • Ensure that all customer complaints and issues are resolved promptly and to the customer's satisfaction.
    • Maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
    • Regularly update clients of any changes to their job file in Acculynx
  3. Operations Management:
    • Oversee the scheduling and coordination of all service jobs.
    • Ensure that all service work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
    • Update job file in company CRM with all relevant: photos, documents, messages, etc.
    • Monitor and manage inventory levels of materials and supplies.
    • Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
    • Ensure that all billing and invoicing for service jobs are accurate and timely.
  4. Quality and Safety Control:
    • Implement and enforce quality control processes to ensure the highest level of workmanship.
    • Conduct regular inspections of completed jobs to verify quality and adherence to company standards.
    • Address any issues or deficiencies identified during inspections.
    • Ensure that all service technicians adhere to safety regulations and company safety policies.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the roofing industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and techniques.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in using project management software and tools.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Must be able to confidently navigate and use a computer daily.
  • This position involves both office work and on-site inspections.
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions and at heights.
