Quality Manager


Job Details

The Quality Manager supervises the quality process to ensure all boats meet Hinckley's world class standards. The Quality Manager works within general methods and procedures and exercises considerable independent judgment to adapt and apply the guidelines to specific situations. The work requires knowledge of the policies, procedures, and regulations of quality control and quality assurance work.

  • Manage all aspects of the Production Division's Quality Control process.
  • Develop, maintain and administer Final Inspection Quality Control (FIQC) on all production boats.
  • Develop, maintain and administer In-Process Inspection Plans (IPQC) on all production boats.
  • Maintain and update the Hinckley Quality Standards.
  • Maintain the Quality Alert Process.
  • Provide feedback to Engineering on updates needed to process maps or work instruction.
  • Help issue Field Service Bulletins as required.
  • Recommend product design/component changes as required.
  • Communicate all engineering changes back to production leads and line workers
  • Maintain quality bulletin board in each work area.
  • Lead Corrective Action Process, with Engineering, Quality or Production.


  • Experience with boat building production process and/or field operation.
  • Experience in quality management, quality control, and quality assurance systems.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in an applied science or engineering field, preferred.
  • Demonstrate experience working with contract manufacturers, suppliers, or distributors.
  • Demonstrate exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Good leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
