Salary: Up to $17/hr
Schedule: 9am-5pm or 12pm - 8pm

Responsibilities:
As a Recreation Aide at Parkview, you will have the exciting opportunity to:
- Collaborate with department staff to create and implement personalized activities and programs that cater to the individual interests of our residents.
- Engage directly with residents on our units, fostering a warm and supportive environment.
- Work closely with our Recreation Director to set up, execute, and tidy up programs as required.
- Efficiently organize and procure necessary supplies and equipment to ensure the seamless execution of activities.
- Provide assistance to our recreation specialists, assisting in program setup and maintenance.
- Maintain detailed records of daily attendance and document residents' active participation in activities.
- Guide residents to program locations and assist them in returning to their respective units.
- Team up with our Recreation Director to craft or modify the recreation calendar, and coordinate with external partners for exciting recreational activities. You'll also be responsible for distributing these calendars.
- Familiarize yourself with our established emergency procedures to ensure the safety of all residents.
- Embrace other responsibilities as assigned, contributing to the overall well-being of our residents.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:

- Experience in activities within healthcare settings or relevant coursework in recreation therapy.
- Previous exposure to working with the geriatric population is a plus.
- Proficiency in essential computer skills.
- A strong team-player mindset, coupled with impressive organizational and multitasking skills.
