Our client is a leading provider ISO Accredited Calibration Company that has been providing calibration, repair and sales of all types of weighing and measurement products for over 90 years. They are committed to delivering high-quality products and services to their clients. They are seeking a skilled and meticulous Metrology Technician to join the team and contribute to their continued success.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Calibration Technician will be responsible for the calibration, maintenance, and repair of measuring and test equipment. This role ensures that all instruments and devices are accurate and comply with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, communication and relationship building excellence and a keen eye for detail.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform calibration and maintenance of measuring instruments and equipment, while following industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to verify the accuracy and functionality of equipment.
  • Maintain detailed records of calibration, maintenance, and repair activities.
  • Troubleshoot and repair defective instruments and equipment.
  • Develop and implement calibration procedures and standards.
  • Collaborate regularly with the Lab Manager to on scheduling and workload.
  • Provide technical support and training to staff on the proper use of measurement and test equipment.
  • Document calibration procedures, results, and any deviations from expected values.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of metrology processes.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's degree in Metrology, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Validated experience as a Metrology Technician or in a similar role.
  • understanding of measurement and calibration techniques, tools, and equipment.
  • Proficiency in using precision measurement instruments and software.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building strong relationships with customers and addressing their needs optimally.
