General Labor (Wrapper)
ABX Innovative Packaging Solutions is seeking a General Labor candidate that will be promoted into a Wrapper position after a 90-day introductory period and training in our Production Department. This role will involve general labor duties supporting the wrapping and packaging operations.
Responsibilities:
* Inspecting finished goods for defects, appearance, dimensions, and customer specifications
* Wrapping, capping, plugging, and palletizing finished goods per customer requirements
* Securing and preparing cores for use in coring operations
* Reviewing and ensuring accurate labeling on rolls and pallets
* Maintaining a clean and organized work area, following good housekeeping practices
* Operating forklifts and material handling equipment safely to minimize damage
* Transporting raw materials from storage to production areas as required
* Gathering and properly handling waste and scrap materials
* Following all safety procedures and policies, including hazardous waste management protocols
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
* Basic math and reading skills to understand instructions and specifications
* Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
* Forklift operating experience (preferred)
* Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment
