Rogers Group is seeking candidates for the Utility Heavy Equipment Operator for our Tuscumbia Quarry Quarry, Tuscumbia, Alabama.
Utility Heavy Equipment Operator wage starts at $22 per hour. Starting wage based on experience level.
The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to:
Operate a variety of heavy equipment (Skid Steer, Wheel Loader, Dozer and/or Excavator) and machinery.
1 - 2yrs Experience as a Wheel Loader Operator highly preferred
Perform daily pre and post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies
Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management
Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency
Perform plant ground operations/maintenance as needed
Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment
Other duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS:
Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
1+ years of experience operating wheel loader preferred.
Previous Quarry experience preferred.
Able to do safety and maintenance inspections throughout the day.
Capable of demonstrating equipment and troubleshooting knowledge.
Experience working with crushers, conveyors and screens preferred.
Ability to understand basic safety and work instruction.
Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills required.
Good organizational, scheduling and time management skills.
Welding experience helpful along with general maintenance and repair abilities.
Experience in heavy equipment operation a plus, but not required.
Team player mentality.
Working outdoors in varied weather conditions with the probability of dust, noise, heat, and cold.
Must pass pre-employment drug testing.
