Our client is looking to hire a Power Systems Branch Manager for their Romeoville Illinois location! Our client is looking for an outgoing Applications Engineer to join their growing team! Our client is a world leading distributor of electrical power generators while also being an industry leader in providing outdoor power equipment.
The Power Systems Service Branch Manager is responsible for managing field technicians
and administrative staff to ensure optimal service delivery, customer satisfaction, and employee morale.
Ideal candidates will have a strong background in managing service teams IN the Chicago area.
Job Requirements
Responsibilities:
Staff Management:
o Recruit, train, develop, and motivate both technical and administrative staff
according to company policies and employment laws.
o Manage timekeeping, time off, and performance evaluations.
o Conduct interviews and administer disciplinary actions and terminations.
o Ensure adequate staffing based on workload and coverage for off-hour calls.
Operational Management:
o Accountability to schedule, plan, and assign work to technicians.
o Manage service and customer service activities to optimize employee performance,
profitability, and customer satisfaction.
o Resolve customer issues and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
o Ensure quality assurance of work performed and deliverables.
o Provide recommendations and develop strategies to improve service quality and
quantity.
Financial Management:
o Manage the P&L of the department, including capturing revenue, controlling
expenses, and managing overhead costs.
Facility and Equipment Management:
o Maintain the upkeep and condition of all facilities and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Be able to commute to Romeoville and the expectation is to be in the office to support staff, technicians etc.
- Have 5+ years of managing field service work in the Chicago market
- Experience managing P&L
- Experience managing up to 20 technicians & administrative staff
- Mechanically inclined, Generator or strong facility management experience a plus
- Prior generator technician promoted to management (at least 2-5 years ago) also preferred.
