**Job Description:**

**Job Summary****:** Guards casino property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry, and safeguards all casino Team Members, guests and assets by performing any combination of following duties.

**Primary Duties & Responsibilities****:**

* Patrols and checks, periodically, internal and outside perimeters of casino.

* Checks guest IDs and observes suspicious behavior of Team Members and guests and reports such activity as necessary.

* Safeguards casino patrons, Team Members, and assets by guarding doors, patrolling building, observing drop team, verifying slot fills and jackpots, and other observation of sensitive assets and procedures.

* Provides security escort for cash transactions in the casino or for entrances to sensitive areas, Team Member and guest escorts as needed.

* Transports fills and credits to and from casino gaming areas, and auditing from casino cashiers cage.

* Prepares security reports describing activities and incidents.

* Provides assistance as necessary to casino guests.

* Ensures casino property is protected from theft, illegal entry, vandalism, etc. Ensures that underage guests are not on casino gaming floor and stay in appropriate areas of casino.

* Maintains open communications with supporting job positions and departments in order to fulfill daily job functions. Has contact with casino guests regarding providing or receiving information or during confrontational situations.

* Performs all other duties assigned within the scope of work.

**Job Requirements:**

**Minimum Qualifications:**

* High school diploma or GED.

* Must be at least 18 years old.

* Must be responsible, reliable, and able to make sound decisions.

* Must be flexible with shifts and days off.

* Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, special events, etc. as needed.

* Must pass a pre-employment physical.

* Long periods of standing and walking.

* Must be able to lift and carry up to thirty-(30) pounds.

* Some pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling and reaching are required.

* Must be able to meet Odawa Casino Resort internal training requirements.

* You may be required to pass a skills assessment test to determine if you meet the minimum qualifications of the position.

* Exposure to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke filled environment.

* Occasional in-town travel will be required.

* Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the LTBB Gaming Regulatory Commission, and be able to serve in the position under any other applicable law.

* Must maintain confidentiality at all times.

A Team Member who resigns with proper notice may apply for rehire after 3 months from the effective date of their termination.

A Team Member who has their employment terminated by any gaming facility or who resigns without proper notice may be eligible for rehire subject to the following schedule:

* 1st occurrence must wait 6 months from the effective date of termination or resignation without proper notice

* 2nd occurrence must wait one year from the most recent effective date of termination or resignation without proper notice

* Any occurrence beyond the 2nd must wait three years from the most recent effective date of termination or resignation without proper notice

Please note that occurrences do not reset regardless of length of time between them.

A Team Member whose employment is terminated as a result of not being able to return to work upon exhaustion of the Fair Employment Leave will be eligible for rehire without a waiting period once they have been released back to work by a qualified physician.

A Seasonal Team Member whose employment is terminated will be eligible for rehire without a waiting period if they successfully complete their most recent seasonal employment.

Must not be currently on a Security Ban from Odawa Casino during the time of application.

To apply for any Dual Rate positions the applicant must be currently employed and in good standing with OCR.

Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance with the regulations established by the LTBB Gaming Regulatory Commission, and be able to serve in the position under any other applicable law.
