WHO we're looking for:

We are looking for a Business Risk Data Analyst who will be responsible for contributing to risk reduction, financial loss reduction, process improvement, and P&L growth for the Mobile business on the .com site by data mining, investigating, creating Tableau dashboards, and quantifying loss associated with programs and processes. Key areas of responsibility include: identifying and quantifying operational improvements, and building business cases, and creating dashboards to monitor the success of risk mitigation in various sales platforms, processes, and products.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Manage: multiple initiatives to review areas and potential areas of financial risk and loss in a complex sales and fulfillment environment.
  • Build: reporting and dashboards that quantify scope of issues and measure improvements from mitigation strategies.
  • Optimize: develop data -driven perspectives on areas of potential and actual financial loss. Define opportunities for improvement. Quantify current and future scenarios for presentation to internal stakeholders for prioritization.
  • Innovate: think outside-the-box, leverage data, and build insights to create business cases.
  • Maintain reporting to focus resources (critical). Receive a risk issue (problem statement) and determine which tables and columns must be queried to determine the size and scope of the problem as well as find the best attribute to mitigate the issue. Be a logical critical thinker that can take an incomplete problem statement and determine where to look for data, stratify it and provide a coherent output.

Required Experience and Education:

  • 3+ years of experience with SQL and Tableau.
  • College degree required.
  • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Office Applications especially Excel. Skills with pivot tables, Vlookup, advanced formulas, etc.
  • Extensive experience in data mining, analysis, business case development and reporting.
  • Ability to work with large data sets.
  • Familiarity with the identification and resolution of issues working with disparate sources of data and data quality issues.
  • Experience with Confluence and Jira.
  • Kibana experience a plus.

  • Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
  • Creative problem solving.
  • Additional visualization tools like Power BI and MicroStrategy a plus.

Requires considerable (90%+) work utilizing high visual acuity/detail, numeric/character distinction, and moderate hand/finger dexterity.

Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenge, some language barriers, and project management deadlines. May require working additional time beyond normal schedule and periodic travel.
