We have an exciting opportunity for an Application Support Analyst with our industry-leading client. The Application Support Analyst will primarily provide application support for information protection technologies at the direction of Technology Production Services Management. This position is a 5 x 24-hour support role in supporting the first line application support staff and the overnight operators.
This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $38-$42 / hr. w2
Responsibilities:
- Debugging, installing, monitoring, and troubleshooting production systems.
- Minimize interruptions and the risks to the firm from a system outage by coordinating the activities within the Application Support group.
- Function as 1st and 2nd level support on all vendor and in-house applications
Requirements: - Knowledge of DLP technologies
- Strong technical background
- Knowledge of email security standards
- SIEM Tools Functionality
- Experience in an application support role within the investment management business; along with programming experience in one or more of the following programming languages: Visual Basic, PowerBuilder, Perl, C, Java, Shell.
- Must be well versed in the trading area, trade operations area, and general knowledge of the rest of the investment management business including accounting, data warehousing, reporting, portfolio management, portfolio analytic tools.
- Hands on experience with the Windows operating system, Unix operating system, Windows file system, and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc. )General knowledge of the databases used: Sybase, MS SQL server and the tools to monitor the databases.
- Previous experience using Autosys job scheduler.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
