VALUES (Principles We Live by Every Day) are: Service, Respect, Safety and Accountability JOB SUMMARY(overview of job): This position under the supervision of the Department Director is responsible for the set up and service and tear down of food for the employees and visitors in the cafe and coffee shop in accordance with food safety regulations and facility standards for appearance and quality. This position must be able to assist guests in making menu selections and market upcoming caf or coffee shop promotions. Position is responsible for making coffee specialty drinks according to set recipes and standards. This position is responsible for the monitoring and recording food temperatures assuring safe food service and food holding. This position is responsible for operating cash register software for numerous cashier functions and using the department safe for secure deposits and change funds, counting deposits, reconciling cash at the end of the shift per facility standards. This position will take special orders for take out orders for a variety of events and get the orders to the appropriate production staff. Additionally this position will act as a caterer or nutrition service aide as assigned and will need to be able to the assume the role of the dishwasher or set up catered events to facility standard as well as complete the required reporting for that function KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: Cashier experience with the counting of change is required. The knowledge of food safety regulations such as safe cold and hot food holding temperatures can be acquired during at least six months experience in a food service setting. Barista and catering experience is also desired. EDUCATION: Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to follow instructions and make change. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY : None. Aptitudes: Demonstrated ability to perform mathematical calculations to make change. Must be able to solve customer satisfaction issues balancing customer service and department rules. Ability to easily interact and meet with people. Contact Information
