Job Summary
Join us as a Diesel/Industrial Vehicle Mechanic in La Porte, Texas. If you???re passionate about working with vehicles and enjoy overcoming challenges, this role is for you. Our client offers a family-oriented environment with competitive wages. Your pay will be based on experience, and diesel or heavy truck knowledge is a plus. On-the-job training is available for those eager to learn. Our equipment includes jockey trucks, over-the-road trucks, trailers, forklifts, and automobiles.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Read job orders, technical manuals, and standards to determine malfunctions and plan repairs.
- Perform complete inspections, routine diagnostics, and post-repair assessments.
- Maintain equipment service records and perform routine servicing and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and repair air brakes, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and diesel engines.
- Repair or replace vehicle components such as lights, belts, and air valves.
- Conduct test drives to ensure proper functioning of equipment.
- Follow company safety regulations and maintain a clean, orderly workspace.
- Document work hours, parts used, and tasks completed.
Requirements - Pass a background check and drug screen.
- Possess a valid driver???s license.
- Obtain a TWIC card.
- Basic computer knowledge is a plus.
