Responsibilities / Tasks

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment.
  • Provides technical support to customers including troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of machines.
  • Provides training of customers operators and maintenance personnel.
  • Complies with OSHA Safety and Health rules.

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • High School Diploma OR GED
  • Over 5 years of hands-on experience with electro-mechanical systems in advanced industrial machinery.
  • Experience with extrusion and drying is advantageous.
  • Strong electrical aptitude: motors, AC & servo drives, electrical circuitry, PLC, and PC-based control systems.
  • Proficient in mechanical systems: power transmission, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with strong listening abilities and enjoyment of teamwork.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a proactive "do whatever it takes" attitude.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and working under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently.
  • Proficient with MS Word and Excel.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 90%), including weekends and short notice.
  • Able to read and understand blueprints and mechanical drawings.
  • Good eye-hand coordination, ability to bend, and lift 50-75 lbs (up to 100 lbs with assistance).
  • Ability to stand for up to 12 hours.
  • Logical problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Knowledge of job safety precautions (OSHA), especially lockout/tagout, confined spaces, and working at heights.
  • Ability to drive a motor vehicle.
