Assistant Plant Manager - Construction Aggregates
L.G. Everist, Inc., founded in 1876 produces and supplies sand, gravel, and quarried stone throughout the Midwest region of the United States.
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an Assistant Plant Manager for our Ortonville Quarry in Ortonville, MN. The Assistant Plant Manager will have production responsibility for a surface aggregate quarry operation and the safety of a non-union workforce.

- 5+ years background experience in quarry operations and personnel management.
- Strong team-building and coaching skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivation with a strong ability to lead a team.
- An attitude of continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills listening, verbal, written (report writing), and presentation.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Tools.
- A valid driver's license with a good driving record.
LOCATION
Ortonville, MN
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. A four-year degree in mining engineering or a related field a plus.
DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow and enforce Mine Safety and Health Administration rules and regulations. Be a champion of safety.
- Direct and supervise production activities, from drilling and blasting to quality control of the finished products.
- Ensure all equipment at the plant is properly maintained and ready for operation at the start of each scheduled production shift.
- Audit existing maintenance plans and modify as required in an effort to strive for optimal efficiency of plant operations at all times.
- Work in coordination with the Plant Manager and Sales Team to determine required inventory and production demands.
- Ensure the competence and development of employees by initiating training, coaching, counseling, or discipline procedures on a continuous basis.
- Work in coordination with the Mine Development Department to execute efficient extraction of aggregates per the engineered mine design plan.
- Daily Site inspections for Safety and Production performance

Monday through Friday, Saturday as needed
