Reports To: Warehouse Manager/Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing various tasks to receive, store, and distribute materials, equipment, and products within the warehouse. This role ensures efficient, accurate, and timely handling of inventory to meet company and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving and Inspection:

Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders or packing lists.

Inspect goods for defects, damages, and discrepancies, and report any issues to the supervisor.

Inventory Management:

Accurately record and manage inventory in the warehouse management system.

Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.

Organize and store items in designated locations for easy retrieval and efficient space utilization.

Order Fulfillment:

Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer requirements and company standards.

Ensure accuracy and quality of orders before shipping.

Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

Shipping and Logistics:

Prepare shipping documents and labels for outgoing shipments.

Coordinate with shipping carriers and schedule pickups as needed.

Track shipments and provide updates to relevant parties.

Safety and Maintenance:

Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.

Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, including sweeping, trash removal, and equipment maintenance.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors regarding any issues or updates.

Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role is preferred.

Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory control practices.

Skills:

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).

Basic computer skills for inventory management and shipping documentation.

Good physical condition, capable of lifting and moving heavy items (up to 50 lbs).

Certifications:

Forklift certification is a plus.

$17 - $20 an hour
