Ottinger Architects is a growing firm in the Pico Union neighborhood of Los Angeles, specializing in urban in-fill projects of various scales throughout the area. Our primary passion is for mixed-use market rate and affordable housing projects, and we have several exciting projects under development. We have an immediate opening for a Project Architect with 10+ years of experience who possess strong design and technical skills, and the ability to guide project teams.
The ideal candidate can effectively work both collaboratively and independently, manage fast-paced deadlines while incorporating client and city feedback, and produce high-quality design and production drawings. We are seeking a highly motivated, conscientious and detail-oriented person with strong communication and interpersonal skills to join our team.

Position requirements:
- Strong design and technical skills with a passion for urban design and creative housing solutions
- Interest in sustainable design approaches
- Experience from concept design to drawing production
- Experience producing drawings and renderings for entitlement approvals
- Experience navigating complex zoning requirements
- Professional degree in Architecture
- Licensed or on path to license required
- 10+ years of post-graduate experience working in architecture; affordable housing and mixed-use residential experience a plus
- Familiarity with Los Angeles, Santa Monica and West Hollywood zoning requirements
- Working knowledge of building construction types l, lll and V
- Strong understanding of the building code and accessibility requirements
- Ability to coordinate consultant drawings and systems
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality work
- Minimum of 3-years of Revit experience
- Proficiency in Enscape, V-Ray Adobe Creative Suite and Bluebeam
