Order Selector - 1st Shift
The Order Selector - 1st Shift will retrieve componentsand distribute to assembly or staging area. Responsible for monitoring stock levels and working with the purchasinggroup to rectify stocking discrepancies.

Key Tasks
- Organize andread Electronic Distribution of Orders (EDO) and sales orders, including notes,to determine what components are needed.
- Retrieve correctcomponents to fulfill orders.
- Distributecomponents to assembly or staging area in a timely manner to ensure on timedelivery of orders.
- Communicate withsupervisor to rectify problems such as shortages and defective covers.
- Monitor stockquantities and turn in Kanban cards to purchasing group and cutting department.
- Return unneededitems to stock including covers and foams.
- Communicate withpurchasing group to rectify problems, such as damages, and shortages.
- Perform inventoryaudits.
- Communicate withfabrication department and supervisor/Lead on material substitutions to ensureon time delivery of order.
- Process materialsubstitution or inventory adjustments with purchasing group.
- Assist in dailycompletion of "Cover List" for the sewing department.
- Follow andcomply with all safety, work rules, regulations, ISO procedures, leanInitiatives and lean events.
- Maintain departmental housekeeping standards. Maintain 5'SProgram.
- Assist in otherdepartments to ensure products are completed on time.
- Maintain KanbanSystem and participate in cycle counts
- Report stockedout items through Electronic Distribution of Orders (EDO)
- Checkin "Cover List" covers delivered by sewing department.

Your Background- Highschool diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Priorrelevant manufacturing experience preferred.
- Basicmathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide and metric conversions).
- Abilityto read a tape measure.
- Abilityto read, write, and understand instruction detail written and communicated inEnglish.
- Basiccomputer knowledge.
- Goodoral and written communication skills in order to interact with employees andsupervisor.
- Become, and maintain, Stock Pickers, WAVE andforklift certification.
