Job Description SummaryExecutes the receiving, storing, using, staging and distribution of materials required for assembly of product. Responsibilities may also include manufacturing, assembly, basic testing, training and packaging and shipping of products.Job DescriptionKey responsibilities/essential functions include:Perform physical movement of materials from one area to another using handcarts or fork liftsPicks parts/products for shipments ensuring accuracy of identification and quantityPhysically and systemically receive/issue individual material requisitions from internal and external departments Quantifies and verifies cycle countFills kits and deliver to production as requiredProcess material against purchase orders and work orders using electronic material management systemCoordinate with on-site and/or offsite warehousing facilities for parts replenishment and material for storageWork with appropriate logistics and production personnel to resolve/prevent part shortagesPerform cycle audits and physical inventory per scheduleHelp reconcile inventory discrepancies and report discrepancies to SupervisorFollows work procedures and schematics including complex instructions regarding duties to be performedPerforms manufacturing/assembly operations and various tasks following procedures, bills of materials, work instructions, and process aid sheetsAssists in the writing and/or developing of work proceduresWorks independently and completes basic troubleshootingMaintains daily production outputFollows all EHS and Quality policies and proceduresParticipates in quality control inspections when requiredWorks with team leaders, engineers, supervisors, and managers to improve quality and process efficiencyAbility to build rapport within the immediate team and with the broader organizationMaintain partnerships in job function and with assembly, materials, logistics, and test teams across the manufacturing operations and across all shiftsPerforming more advanced and complex assembly and testing when requiredMay train other team members when requiredComply with EHS regulations and policiesOther duties as assigned, and may be asked to be included in quality activities, training sessions, and employee activity teamsQuality Specific Goals:Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/positionComplete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as requiredTraining: Aware of and comply with GEHC training requirementsKnowledge and understanding of production process, work instructions, documentation configuration control, non-conforming & rework documentation requirements and operates within them to ensure that a device conforms to its specification.Aware of and comply with Stop Order, Concessions, ESD, Calibration, Preventative Maintenance, Material Identification & Segregation, and Good Documentation Practices, as associated with this job type/positionRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED or local equivalent and 2 or more years of storing and material handling or related experienceWillingness to work off-shifts and overtime as neededWillingness to work at an off-site warehouse location if neededProficient in basic mathematicsProficient with basic hand tools such as but not limited to, saw, screwdriver, wrench, ratchetsBasic computer skills and software tools to include, but not limited to, Windows, Outlook &Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to consistently liftAbility to communicate, receive and understand instructions regarding duties to be performedTeam player who is accountable for team's success delivering business targets and takes responsibility for decisions and outcomesDemonstrated ability for detail and quality-minded work habitsAbility to communicate well and work with othersPreferred Qualifications:Basic knowledge of quality and inventory controlKnowledge of computerized material flow methodsHigh degree of comfort using electronic manufacturing/production systems and tools such as eANDON, eDHR, TrelloWillingness to learn new skills and perform a variety of tasks and roles within the manufacturing process and teach and coach othersPrior experience using a forklift and weight scales or Fork truck license (PIT Training)Prior experience working in a medical device manufacturing environmentAdditional InformationGE HealthCare offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
