**Summary:** This position requires an individual who is able to work in a busy environment, possesses solid communication skills, is detail oriented and very organized. In event of absence, position will be filled by adequately trained personnel.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
* Reviewing carrier invoices before being signed off by transportation manager
* General record keeping and office duties
* Document all PO pickups by Blount drivers for cost savings
* Communicates with accounting on a daily basis in regards to issues with carrier invoices
* Books all frozen LTL and truck load shipments daily
* Communicates with carrier on tracking shipments and delivery for accuracy to customer
* Documents all carrier issues such as delays, shortages and overages to customer with customer service on a timely manner
* Communicates with accounting on issues that need credits and returns to be processed
**Education and/or Experience:**
* Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
