JOB SUMMARY:
Create menu magic and make hungry people happy. Showcase your skills by preparing daily menu preparations, ensure a sanitary and well-maintained station, and prepare food in a quick and sanitary manner. The Line Cook position is responsible for opening and closing individual stations in the kitchen and preparing dishes that accommodate customer needs in a timely manner.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Able to cook proteins to pre-determined temperatures
- Ability to cook and plate menu items in a timely manner
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instruction, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to other employees of the organization
- Working knowledge of all major and minor sauces
- Working knowledge of meat and fish cookery
Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES- Knowledge of specialized equipment: Mastering of slicer, Robot-coupe, convection ovens
- Must possess knife skills, the ability to adjust preparations for flavor, and accommodate customer's needs in a timely manner.
- Position requires prolonged standing, bending, and lifting products and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE- 3+ years industry experience
- Necessary State Food Handler's License(s)
