Job Overview and Responsibilities The role of the North American Customer Service Representative will function as a multi-skilled, highly agile, flexible and responsive member of a team with a primary focus for a customer base within the Solvay Oil & Gas GBU. This role will be a key member within our O&G team to support the growth and evolution of our business by managing with excellence every phase of our Order Management / Order-to-Cash Process; understanding and anticipating the needs of our customers and delivering highly responsive and reliable service to customers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Manage the end-to-end Order Management Process and controlling variances where they occur.

* Support and help drive Order Book fulfillment.

* Contribute to delivering against target OTIF / Service levels and collaborating with customers on Order Lead Time (Requested Delivery Date).

* Drive Order Readiness through achievement of targets on Invoice On Time, Invoice Accuracy, and Orders Entered within Two Business Days.

* Coordinate and work closely with our supply chain, sales, manufacturing teams and customers. Establish close collaboration and coordination with manufacturing facilities.

* Participate and contribute to key Customer Service effectiveness & efficiency projects.

* New account development, assisting new customers on products, SDS, certificates of analysis, shipping information

* Work with customers and end-users to ensure that product is used, stored, maintained, and transported according to label direction.

* Assist distributors and end-users in optimizing the efficacy of products in a manner consistent with environmental stewardship and protection.

* Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements, to promote the sale of company products, and to provide sales support

* Plan and modify product configurations to meet customer needs

* Monitor safety and regulatory compliance

Education and Experience

* Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience and at least 2 years customer service experience in a specialty chemical or related industry

Skills

* Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to manage conflict and diffuse situations to a satisfactory end.

* Advanced knowledge of systems and advanced computer skills. SAP order to cash required. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) experience a plus

* The ability to build strong internal and external relationships.

* A results driven orientation with strong prioritization skills and ability to get things done.

* Resourceful, well organized, highly dependable, efficient and detailed oriented.

* Exceptional analytical and problem solving capabilities.

* The capacity to quickly acquire technical and regulatory knowledge.

* Knowledge of Finance operations and processes

* Demonstrated ability to share knowledge, and mentoring among team members.
