As a software developer you will be responsible for contributing your specialized business and technical knowledge in multiple development efforts. Principle responsibilities will be providing analytical and technical support for Orthomericas web-based intranet systems, web-based ordering system, third-party application integration, SQL database support, and software verification and validation prior to deployment to production.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to see a software development project through from start to finish using the full stack with minimal assistance form others. The candidate will need extensive knowledge of programming languages and the software development life cycle. You will also be responsible for programming modifications or enhancements to meet end user requirements for existing software applications.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Software development and maintenance of custom web, cloud, and desktop applications.

2. Software verification and validation.

3. Using Azure dev ops for source code and version control.

4. Programming in Visual Studio using VB, C#, JSON, HTML/CSS, T-SQL, XML, JavaScript, and the ability to learn new languages as needed.

5. Formulating testing procedures for independent testers or testing other developers code.

6. Flow charting and diagraming to help visualize program or data flow.

7. Research and evaluate software, software development tools and methodologies.

8. Assist in the documentation of all software applications custom or off the self.

9. Analyze and troubleshoot system issues in a timely manner.

10. Communicate the status of all projects to management on a regular basis.

11. Assist in Disaster Recovery procedures and documentation.


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle methodologies and frameworks.

2. Azure Dev Ops

3. One or more Microsoft or web certifications

4. A quick learner able to suggest and create new procedures, software, and/or systems to increase efficiency.

5. Experience in testing and documenting software projects


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent.

5 years of experience in Software Development.

Solid communication skills verbal and written.

Working experience with C#, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and SQL.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Availability to work extended hours, evening, weekends, holidays, and shortly before and after weather related emergencies such as hurricanes.

Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
