We are looking for an Operations Leader to support the relationship between our medical customer and Kimball Electronics Thailand facility. This person will be located in the Pittsburg area and willing to travel when needed.
The Operations Leader will manage the relationship between the Customer and Kimball Electronics (KEI) from an operations perspective. Coordinate the flow of information between KEI and the Customer. Work with assigned Program Managers, Business Managers, and plant management to insure operations alignment (S&OP, AOP, etc.). Facilitate effective communication at all levels of both organizations.
Position Overview
Our Operations Leader's responsible for managing all aspects of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), Annual Operating Plan (AOP), production planning, and production management with Kimball and its customer, document and report all relevant data related to supply planning and provide resolutions to challenges. Design and implement various order fulfillment strategies, such as discrete purchase orders (POs), Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI), Supplier-Owned Managed Inventory (SOMI), safety stock, and reorder points to optimize inventory management and cash flow. With a thorough understanding of the capabilities of all Kimball production sites, support customer requirements and facilitate the facility's future growth. Additionally, provide insights on resources, planning, and long-term direction of the facility, track and propose solutions to supply issues, quickly resolve problems, and implement solutions as they arise. You will strive to become an expert in understanding KE customer business and end markets, provide feedback to improve overall business performance, and establish key KPIs with KE customers, working with KE plants to continuously improve these metrics.
Basic Candidate Background Requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours to support KE Thailand and our medical customer
- Travel as required to support customer interactions. Up to 25% travel may be required, both domestic and international.
- Understand manufacturing operations including requirements for medical device manufacturing
- Excellent oral and written communication with customer and KETL team
- Ability to organize and coordinate plans and schedules

- Lead/support the resolution of operations issues
- Manage the demand and order fulfillment (S&Op) process
- Work with project manager to ensure manufacturing process is ready
- Provide support to ensure efficient operational processes
- Support KETL's readiness to comply with quality and regulatory requirements
- Resolve supply chain issues related to customer's products
- Lead/support activities to achieve cost reduction targets
- Work with business manager to resolve commercial issues
