Job Details

People Architects has partnered with a rapidly-growing retail merchandising company located in Garrettsville, Ohio, who are seeking a Business Development Representative. Our client uses comprehensive capabilities, including injection molding, fabrication, assembly, and warehousing, as well as the full spectrum of offerings to meet the diverse needs of retail.


Key Responsibilities: (Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation)


  • Grow existing customer base by selling additional products.
  • Generate new business by landing new retail accounts.
  • Highlight the company s ability to offer end-to-end solutions, from product design to manufacturing and logistics.
  • Manage and grow existing business: create plans to increase sales of existing categories and identify new product opportunities.
  • Lead the cross functional team throughout the entire lifecycle of business development.
  • Actively communicate status of projects to all project stakeholders, including customers as well as cross functional teams plus senior management.
  • Other tasks as assigned.


Qualifications: (required and preferred)


  • 5 + years of proven sales experience, preferably in the retail industry.
  • Must be a proven producer resulting in strong and successful long-term relationships in the retail industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in business.
  • Ability to multitask and be able to lead and interact with cross functional teams.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent strategic planner and strategic thinker.
  • Demonstrate a consistent, dependable, and positive work ethic.
  • Strong project management skills, solid analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to travel for business including meeting customers, exhibit at trade shows, and visit commercial job sites.
