We seek a motivated and experienced Corporate Support Property Manager to join our team at our quaint corporate office in Troy, Michigan.

Job Description :

As a Corporate Support Property Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of our low-income apartment properties. You will work closely with our Regional Managers to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, maintain high property management standards, and provide exceptional service to our residents.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day operations of multiple low-income apartment properties from the corporate office.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including HUD guidelines and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) requirements.
  • Create and maintain cloud-based document storage for MORs and EIVs
  • If needed, support on-site property managers in leasing, maintenance, resident relations, and administration areas.
  • Answer phones
  • Respond to emails
  • Update the work order database
  • Collect rent
  • Schedule vendors
  • Process invoices
  • Process applications, certifications, and move-ins
  • Monitor property performance and develop marketing strategies to improve occupancy rates, resident satisfaction, and financial stability.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Compliance, Maintenance, Finance, and Administration, to ensure cohesive operations.
  • Attends training as required.
  • Successful completion of LIHTC and HUD training, including a passing score on the exam.
  • Fulfill all other assigned duties as deemed necessary and appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Property management experience, focusing on low-income housing.
  • Strong knowledge of HUD guidelines, LIHTC, and other affordable housing programs.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Education:

  • COS (Certified Occupancy Specialist), TCS (Tax Credit Specialist), Fair Housing, or equivalent industry-specific training/certifications preferred.
