Job Description
The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for coordinating with suppliers and customer day-to-day shipments which includes but not limited to, quoting, booking loads in Mercury Gate TMS, creating BOL s, tracking and resolving issues.
Qualifications
- Quoting shipments for client for projects
- Creates BOL s for new shipments and sends to supplier to ship
- Tenders loads in Mercury Gate TMS to Carriers
- Tracks pick-up, in-transit and delivery of shipments
- High level of professionalism when dealing with customer and suppl
- High attention to detail and able to ask appropriate questions to give accurate quotes
- Resolves issues with misrouted freight / critical freight
- Can escalate to Operations Manager when there are critical issues
- Supports will billing discrepancies and updates system as necessary
- Other duties as required and assigned
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor s degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems
- PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
