What you need to know about the Quality Nurse Specialist position:
- The Clinical Quality Management Department focuses on the improvement of clinical practices and process to impact organizational quality and safety patient care outcomes.
- The Quality Nurse Specialist position will work with the quality department and external stakeholders to abstract and synthesize data for a trauma registry. Collaborating with other stakeholders, the role will facilitate evidence-based practice change recommendation, identifying gaps in trauma clinical practice, processes, and outcomes to support the trauma performance improvement collaborative.
- They will serve as a leader in trauma requirements to the quality department and organization.
- The base hourly rate for this position is $46.91. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience.
- In this position you will work varying hours based on the needs of the department, and the position is not eligible for benefits.
- This position is eligible for remote work, however, there will be times when the position will need to be onsite in Columbus, IN.
- This position is for a fixed duration (temporary), with a minimum need for 6-9 months' employment. This temporary assignment has the potential to evolve into further employment within the company, but is not guaranteed. The employee will be provided a minimum of 30-days written notice before the end of the assignment, with an indication of either a need for extended temporary employment time, change to permanent status, or the end of employment.
What is required for this position:- Master of Science in Nursing as a Clinical Nurse Specialist required.
- Three or more years clinical experience in acute care required with a focus on trauma.
- Previous experience with evidence-based practice organizational changes required.
- Indiana Registered Nurse License or Multi-State Registered Nurse License through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) required.
- Adult Health Clinical Nurse Specialist Certification (ACNS-BC) or equivalent professional nursing clinical specialty preferred.
