FPT is a wholly-owned business of Cleveland-Cliffs, has an immediate opportunity for a Mechanic on the night shift at the Detroit, MI, location. The Mechanic is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of trucks and heavy-duty machinery. Summary of Responsibilities:Ensure adherence to safety standards, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE), remove hazards as identified, and maintain the cleanliness of the site. Performs repairs on engines, brakes, suspensions, transmissions, and electrical equipment on the sites trucks and yard machinery. Air system diagnostics and repair. Electrical diagnostics and repairs. Inspect, lubricate and service equipment per company maintenance schedules. Change flat tires.
