JOB TITLE: Bilingual In-Home Family Therapist (Bilingual Outreach Therapist)

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:Full-time, 40 hours/week

SCHEDULED HOURS:Monday-Friday, evening coverage as needed, 24/7 on-call coverage on a rotating basis required

The Multisystemic Therapist works as a member of the MST therapy team to provide family-based treatment in the home and community for adolescents with challenging behaviors, including substance use, legal system involvement, family and peer conflict, or educational problems. MST is an intensive and evidence-based model that works with the adolescent's entire social ecology (individual, family, peer, school, community) to identify reasons for referral behaviors and design effective interventions to reduce the frequency and severity of these behaviors and empower the youth and family to improve functioning in the long term. The MST therapist will be fully trained in MST model upon hire as well as receive quarterly booster trainings and weekly case consultation with a model expert.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provides assessment and treatment interventions consistent with fidelity to MST model.
  • Performs home and community-based care.
  • Documents ongoing client progress and outcomes.
  • Works with clients to develop appropriate discharge plans utilizing natural support.
  • Maintains collaborative relationships with family members, stakeholders, and other service providers.
  • Provides crisis assessment and intervention.
  • When appropriate facilitates drug testing
  • Participates in all MST training, supervision, and consultation activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Master's degree in mental health related field.

Experience: Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and experience as a psychotherapist working with people with mental illness and/or serious emotional disorders.Demonstrated training and experience in all aspects of mental health treatment, assessment, evaluation and provision of individual, group and family therapy. Relevant experience to program model to which individual is assigned. Prior training in MST preferred

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Associate license as an LMSW, LMFTA, LPCA per the State of CT rules, LCSW, LMFT, LPC preferred.

Additional Qualifications: Bilingual in English and Spanish Required

COMPENSATION*:

$60,496/yr min to$90,743/yr max, dependent upon experience

*Actual rates are determined at the time of offer and are based on relevant experience and internal equity, as well as, adherence to our internal equity policy. Many of our positions offer program/location differentials and/or sign-on incentives. (Please note, for part-time positions this range would be pro-rated based on hours worked)
