Job Description
Pay Rate: $26.20 per hour
(Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am)
- Responsible for transporting eggs/chicks to and from designated areas. Meet daily scheduling, loading and delivery requirements.
- Responsible for vehicle pre-trip and load preparation (loading, re-fueling, checking equipment to assure it is in good working order).
- Responsible for cleaning and disinfecting equipment (tractor trailers) and checking all safety-related equipment.
- Accountable for trip and load documentation (i.e., log books, log miles, complete manifest, delivery tags, etc.).
- Work loading plan according to delivery instructions/schedule.
- Responsible for transporting trash, waste, supplies, and/or racks to and from designated areas. Meet daily scheduling, loading and delivery requirements.
- Other duties such as temperature monitoring, radio communications, map reading, unload boxes by hand, load/unload related supplies, etc.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Class A Oregon drivers license and all necessary documentation.
- 1 year driving experience preferred
- Ability to repeatedly lift 80-100 lbs.
- Ability to bend, reach, and stoop.
- Ability to maintain accurate driver and load information.
- Ability to follow and comply with all delivery schedules.
- Ability to work variable shifts (non-consecutive), including overtime, weekend and holidays.
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must adhere to bio-security (disease control) program.
