Utility Worker Job Description
Olsten is assisting a local client recruiting for a current Paper Mill Utility Worker in Rockingham, NC. We are looking for a hardworking utility worker to perform general duties.This is a long-term temporary to hire opportunity. As a member of the team, you will be relied upon to achieve optimum productivity while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Paper Mill Utility Worker Responsibilities:
- Taking verbal and written instructions from company managers and maintenance officers.
- Physically inspect, communicate, and troubleshoot quality of product and customer/order specifications
- Retrieve order specs, documentation, and order data to/from our systems
- Operate/maintain to assigned productivity standards
- Follow job specific procedures during paper machine shut down; ability to assist in orderly start up and/or shut down paper machine
- Cut and/or set cores
- Assist with paper machine operations
- Process rolls to customer specifications
- Move material to and around paper mill and stock prep area
- Ensuring the safe handling and storage of equipment.
- Ensuring that utility projects have been completed and signed off.
Paper Mill Utility Worker Requirements: - High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as a utility worker.
- Ability to read and interpret written work orders.
- Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment.
- Ability to work in cold/hot/wet environment
- Ability to work a 12 hour swing/rotating shift
Pay for this position is $16.50/hr. plus overtime as needed. This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity.

Pay Details: $16.50 per hour
