Performance Hydroforming LLC. is a Michigan-based, startup aerospace manufacturing company. We specialize in hydroforming, stamping, machining, and assemblies. We offer high-speed prototyping and low-volume production manufacturing to a wide array of customers in the aerospace & defense industries.

Performance Hydroforming LLC. is looking for highly skilled and qualified candidates who want to become an integral part of growing the company. This position is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of our AS9100/ISO9001:2015 quality management system. Performing production quality inspections utilizing state-of-the-art inspection equipment and software. Using reverse engineer techniques to compare against CAD and blueprints to qualify parts to our customer's specifications. While also being flexible and capable of working in various other capacities to "get the job done" no matter what it takes!

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Inspection of product and documentation requirements prior to shipment using calipers, micrometers, height gages, and laser scanning.
  • Process laser scans with Polyworks software and create programs for new inspections.
  • Abide by all Company policies including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Technique Employee Handbook (HR Connection).
  • Help perform capability studies, gauge R&R, SPC, flow charts, and histograms.
  • Preparing and submit customer required documentation in timely manner, including First Article inspection, PPAP, certificate of conformance completion, and ongoing data required reporting.
  • Collaborate with Quality Department on other necessary projects and customer quality requirements.
  • Ability to develop welded assemblies
  • Ability to work with the Engineering and Quality departments to help design check fixtures or aids to improve the manufacturing process.
  • Performs and/or assists with the review and evaluation of inspection holding fixtures, component parts, and assembly inspection fixtures to determine if fixture is adequate for task.
  • Verifies the reporting software is applicable for the job and is in the correct customer requested format.
  • Proposes good solutions to potential issues relating to fixture and measurement process as necessary.
  • Work with manufacturing teams to adjust fixtures and processes when needed to improve part quality.
  • PPAP preparation and submission status, monthly review and reporting of customer scorecards.
  • Perform audits to ensure that all quality control processes are being followed and ensures findings are effectively corrected and independently verified.
  • Processing and completing various online customer portal activities.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, tools, concepts, and methodologies of QA and implementation of corrective action plans necessary for this position.
  • Coordinates customer source inspections and makes recommendations based on inspections to remove root causes of non-conformance.
  • Implements and maintains comprehensive quality control for targeted customer programs.
  • Embraces the challenge of problem solving, identifying and implementing practical solutions.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Professionally represents the company when interacting with customer representatives.
  • Inventory tracking for outsources goods and components needed.
  • Perform audits to ensure that all quality control processes are being followed and ensures findings are effectively corrected and independently verified.

Required:

Strong to advanced knowledge of GD&T.
Knowledge of quality, manufacturing and inventory software, knowledge of Design software, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
