Job Description

Responsible for the manufacture of special molds and tooling primarily used for: 1) extruding rubber and / or plastic parts as well as 2) splicing and / or molding of rubber.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Construct new tooling per instructions
  • Repair existing tooling per instructions or as needed
  • Operation of all machine shop equipment including milling machines, lathes, cut-off saws and EDM machine safety and according to written work specifications
  • Manufacture valve stems using the lathe
  • Repairing and maintaining machines as required
  • Soldering of valve stems made of various metals as required
  • Work with other team members and management to accomplish corporate quality goals of: on time delivery, turnaround time, profitability and returns
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Read, write and comprehend English well
  • Basic computer skills
  • Capability to read and understand drawings, specifications and other engineering and administrative documents.
  • Read, understand and follow written instructions.
  • Ability to operate and read measuring tools and to perform some complex mathematical calculations that may include decimals and / or fractions.
  • Must be able to lift, hold, and / or manipulate product and tools.

Starting salary $28.00-$35.00/hour based on experience and background.
