**Responsibilities**

A patient sitter associate is an entry level position assisting nurses in direct patient care activities. The position provides 24 hour coverage making observations of any problems the patient may be experiencing while assuring patient safety in the designated hospital clinical units. Under the direct supervision of the nurse, the candidate must demonstrate ability to quickly make decisions to report changes in patient conditions/situations. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with Dignity Health's mission and policies around safe patient care.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum**

* High School Diploma/GED

* American Heart Association Basic Life Support

* Customer Service & Effective Listening skills required

**Preferred**

* Experience in healthcare desired
