Job Summary:

As a Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and enhancement of crop production machinery. You will leverage your expertise in agricultural engineering and machinery design to create innovative solutions that meet the needs of modern farming. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience within the agricultural industry, specifically focused on crop production machinery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of new crop production machinery and equipment.
  • Conduct research and analysis to understand market needs and emerging trends in agricultural technology.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effective.
  • Create detailed design specifications, engineering drawings, and 3D models using CAD software.
  • Perform simulations, prototyping, and testing to validate design concepts and ensure they meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance throughout the product lifecycle, from concept to production.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in design processes and product performance.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, new technologies, and best practices in agricultural machinery design.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the agricultural industry, with a focus on crop production machinery.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other engineering tools.
  • Strong understanding of agricultural equipment design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with hydraulic systems, mechanical drives, and precision farming technologies is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites, field tests, and industry events.
