Transports patients via wheelchair or stretcher efficiently, safely and in a courteous manner. Prepares patient for transport according to nursing service procedure. Records each transport showing time left unit, destination and time returned to unit using Tele tracking system. Transports bodies to the morgue, exhibiting care and respect for the deceased. Maintains vehicles keeping them clean and in good repair. Inspects and cleans vehicles according to nursing service procedure as directed by supervisor. Makes rounds to nursing units to serve as messenger as requested. Returns vehicles and oxygen tanks & O 2 equipment when completed with transport of patient.
