Our client, a growing and locally headquartered Civil Engineering firm, is seeking a Civil Site Design Engineer to join our Civil Site Division. This position requires competent skills to lead plan production of schematic and construction plans, design of storm water drainage systems and utility calculations for land development projects. The ideal candidate will be experienced in the fundamentals of land development and drainage design and contribute to a positive team environment, as well as demonstrate a strong work ethic and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- BS or MS from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering (or other related field)
Preferred Qualifications:
- EIT
- Proficiency with basic AutoCAD design and drafting
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Strong understanding of the fundamentals of Site Civil Engineering design
- Development of storm quality and quantity water design calculations, and stormwater technical information reports
- Utility design (i.e. potable water, gravity sewer, etc.)
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- A team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
- Understanding of grading and earthwork calculations
- Understanding of construction and bid documents
- HEC-RAS modeling
