Engtal is partnered with a well-known name in Massachusetts construction who is looking for an estimator to work on large-scale bids.


Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to accurately determine project requirements.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
  • Evaluate and compare subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitiveness and value.
  • Utilize estimating software and tools to streamline the estimating process and improve accuracy.
  • Review historical data and past project performance to inform current estimates and improve forecasting.
  • Present and explain cost estimates to project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development of project budgets and proposals.
  • Participate in bid review meetings and negotiations as needed.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, material costs, and market conditions that may impact project costs.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve estimating processes and procedures.


Qualifications:

  • 10 years of industry experience
  • 5-6 years as an estimator
